About StageConsole .shw files

A .shw file is simply a text file. You can view and edit it with Notepad. Each item is surrounded with quotes and items are separated by commas.

Here's what the first part of the demo .shw file looks like (disregard the line wrapping, each cue should be on 1 line):

• The first line is the version info
• The second line has the name of the show and the date & time the file was last updated, the number of channels used in the show (here, 24 - can be any number up to 512), the number of submasters, and the patch file name (not used in this show so it is empty).
• The third line is a <CHANNEL_LABELS> tag that indicates what the next line is about.
• The fourth line of the file is the 24 (must match the number of channels given above) labels for the faders.
• The fifith line is a <SUBMASTERS> tag indicating that submaster info follows.
• The next lines are for submasters. each line has a submaster label, the cue number assigned, the current level set, if it is Independent (0=false, 1=true), and LTP (0=false, 1=true)
• after the submasters there is a <CUES> tag indicating that the cues are next
• The rest of the lines are cues: The first number is the cue number. The second number is the fade time in seconds. The next 24 numbers (must match the number of channels given above) are the channel levels . The last item is the name of the cue.
